In this section, administrative users can create and modify service areas for providers.
Creating a new service area:
- Select the “Administration” tab located in the top left hand corner. Another selection menu will appear to the right. Select “reservation” then “service area” to display the list of current service areas.
- Use the “add” button located in the top left hand corner of the screen.
- Complete the description field in the “add new service area” pop-up by identifying the county name.
- Click the + icon to add zip codes to the service area. After entering the zip code, use the drop down menu to select the provider for this service area, then click save to store changes.
Editing a service area:
- Select the “Administration” tab located in the top left hand corner. Another selection menu will appear to the right. Select “reservation” then “service area” to display the list of current service area.
- Highlight the service area you wish to edit and click the “edit” button located in the upper left hand corner.
- To add a new zip code to the service area, please refer to steps in “creating a new service area”.
- To disable zip codes for a provider or service area, please refer to steps in “disable and enable service area”.
(Note: A user can edit a service area simply by double clicking on the service area and activating the pop-up.)
Delete a service area:
- Select the “Administration” tab located in the top left hand corner. Another selection menu will appear to the right. Select “reservation” then “service area” to display the list of current service areas.
- Highlight the service you want to delete and select delete located in the upper left hand corner.
- Confirm your action by selecting yes in the pop-up screen. Be advised this action cannot be reverted.
(Note: this action will delete all zip codes for all providers in this service area and the action cannot be reverted. Users may opt to disable a zip code within the service area as a best practice, which allows the user to active and deactivate the service area for each provider.)
Disabling and enabling service area:
- Select the “Administration” tab located in the top left hand corner. Another selection menu will appear to the right. Select “reservation” then “service area” to display the list of current service areas.
- Highlight the service area and select “edit”.
- Use the “active” switch located to the right of the description book to disable and enable the service area.
- To disable a zip code, click on the green check marks located in the “active” column to disable a specific zip code for a provider.
- To enable a zip code, click on the red X located in the “active” column to enable a specific zip code for a provider.
(Note: A user can edit a service area simply by double clicking on the service area and activating the pop-up.)
